2024 performance with composer Wil Edwards of a selection of his new works for flute, electronics and keyboard.
I am a versatile classically-trained flute and piccolo player, and I have performed in a diverse range of settings over the last few years, finding opportunities to champion lesser-known contemporary works, and to collaborate with interdisciplinary artists.
In recent collaboration with upcoming composer Wil Edwards, I have performed a series of concerts, combining notated elements with improvisation in his new works for flute, electronics and keyboard, as well as performing in his opera my lifelong prisoner with cello, mezzo soprano, baritone, and percussion, with live electronics.
I am driven by the desire to make classical music more accessible for those who may not have had the opportunity to listen or play before. I have organised and performed in a range of accessible concert formats, from musical story-telling, to meet the orchestra events in schools, to playing in local care homes, and I continue to focus on community-based performance as part of my practice. I value any opportunity to work with artists from different specialisms for these projects, and I am passionate about music and storytelling; keep an eye on my social media accounts for updates on upcoming projects.
Below is a selection of photos of my recent performances.
